What is Katarinas Kindness Bubble?
“Katarina’s Kindness Bubble” is a concept from the Justice for Katarina initiative that represents spreading kindness in a way that grows and reaches others, like a bubble expanding outward. It encourages people to perform small, meaningful acts of compassion such as helping families, donating items, or supporting children which can create a ripple effect throughout the community. The idea reflects a mission of turning loss into positive action by inspiring others to carry forward Katarina’s spirit through everyday kindness and generosity, including helping people in the community who struggle to access clean laundry by supporting resources, covering costs, or creating opportunities for them to wash their clothes with dignity. When you go to The Bubble Laundry Co. you inform them at the front desk that you have a gift card, you’d like to use to wash your laundry and they will assist you with paying for the machines.
Liability Release
Justice For Katarina provides financial assistance for laundry services only. By signing below, I agree to the following:
• Damaged Items: Justice For Katarina is not liable for any clothing or personal items that are damaged, shrunk, or ruined during the washing or drying process at The Bubble Co.
• Stolen Items: I am responsible for my belongings at all times. Justice For Katarina is not liable for any items lost or stolen while at the laundromat.
• Facility Issues: Any issues regarding machine malfunctions or the facility must be addressed directly with The Bubble Co management.
Program Eligibility & Verification
To participate in the Katarina’s Kindness Bubble program, I certify that I meet the following requirements and have provided the necessary documentation:
• Identification: I have provided a valid photo ID.
• Income Verification: I have provided proof of income (e.g., pay stub, tax return, or benefit letter) showing that my total household income is less than $15,000 per year per adult individual residing in the home.
• Situation: I am currently experiencing homelessness, a crisis situation, or am a low-income individual.
• Access to Facilities: I certify that I do not have access to a working washer and dryer, including those provided by local shelters or housing programs such as The Nest or The Mission.
Gift Card Usage & Limitations
• Frequency: I understand that I am eligible to receive only one (1) laundry gift card every six (6) months, if funding is available and I meet eligibility criteria.
• Responsibility: I am fully responsible for the gift card once it is issued. Lost, stolen, or damaged cards or items at the laundry mat will not be replaced by Justice For Katarina.
